Ive made some text move...but when i go to save as it doesnt give me the choic of saving as a gif. it only allows me to save as a afp. or something like that...

I know the majority of you wont have a clue what im waffling on about...feel free to comment with a solution anyway :)

Hope someone catches my drift...:)

I'm not sure if you can save that as a gif in after effects, but you can save it as a video file then load it into photoshop and save it as one.

to save it as a something other than an afp, you go to composition->make movie

then the render cue comes up, make sure to change the settings to make it the type of file you want: i.e. - avi, mov, wma...(gif might be there, just not sure because I have never tried it)

then in photoshop, go to file->import->video frames to layers

you will have to adjust the timing for each frame/layer in the animation window

the animation window should come up when you load the file, if it doesn't its under: window->animation

if this doesn't help or you don't understand, my next advice would be youtube!

there are tons of tutorials on youtube for after effects :)
