Now i am completely new to making sigs, so could someone give me a crash course with the first thing being what program to use???

well you can use a number of programs, the most common being adobe photoshop or gimp. Gimp is free, although you can get photoshop free but we cannot tell you how publicly ;)

Then try and learn the basic tools of the program you deicde to use and then practice using tutorials. There are some shown here at www.signaturebar.com or try using google to search for such things as "basic signature tutorial"
