What are Sigbar points?

I have been looking on the site for something about it but have not been able to find anything. Could someone tell me the signifigance of the points?

The more you post, the more points you get, at the mo, theyre just used for either donating to the person that fulfills your requests or to save, as eventually we will be able to spend them on things on the site, for an example...like a gift for another member, like a teddy or a pic of a car, something along those lines, there maybe more things to do with your points eventually .
Its also a way of showing how active a member you are i suppose :D
