SigBar Presidental Elections 2008

Well here I am with another wacko idea :D

SigBar Presidential Elections

There will be three parties (named after the admins) and each party will have 3 representatives, each rep will have a Vice President

The SigBar community will vote for their most wanted rep in each party and the highest scorer will represent their party in the final election

The Final Election is a standoff between 3 reps and the highest scoring will be named SigBar President of the Year

They will have a custom title stating their SigBar Presidency for free (courtesy of Noobie) plus the adoration of the SigBar community

I hope to turn this into an annual thing if this one is sucessful

Im for it..but i dont think the polls should be organised yet.

Right, I'll type up the process and rules:-

Process

Step 1: The people of SigBar put their name forward and 9 reps will be decided at random by me

Step 2: The 9 reps will be put randomly into the 3 parties

Step 3: The reps will then be able to choose a Vice President who can fill in if the President leaves SigBar

Step 4: Reps will decide their campaign managers

Step 5: Each party will put their candidates forward with the SigBar communiy voting on who they want to be president on that party

Step 6: The winning rep from each party will then be put forward into the General Election to decide an overall winner

Step 7: The winner will be announced and prizes given out then

Rules:-

1. NO BRIBERY - Bribery will be taken as a serious offense and anyone caught doing that will be deducted 10 votes pending an inquiry

2. NO VOTE FIXING - You will vote once and ONLY once. Anyone caught voting more than once and the rep you voted for will have a 10 point deduction

There will be a one week voting period for each party where you, the members, will vote on a candidate you think would best represent their party in the general presidential election. Once there are only three candidates remaining, the general election will run for two weeks, and during that time members will be able to vote for their “president”.

But i think as trade asked, we need to know the benefits of this...any ideas as to what the winner will get?

Remember this is only fun, so prizes must be something that can be done for free and forum like lol

Totally random, you go for the rep you think deserves to be president

so has this had the proper go ahaead yet i think its definatally a great idea also i wanna ask something if you are the president how long are you the president for a year? and do you become responsible for things going on around the forum a bit like the staff members lol if so i think its a brill idea for bechuse that could also be a good way to find more staff the staff could watch the person who becomes president how they act and cope and stuff then deside wether they would be a good staff member you get me ?

Can someone please post a final summary of what the rules are and what has been decided. I would like to get this all sorted and if it seems fine we will do it just once for fun and see how it goes.
