Hi guys,

Im considering the following enhancements to the site and was wondering if everyone would find them useful.

1.) Adding a points/cash system to the forums to allow members to earn/trade points for services, gifts and ranks on the forum..

2.) Adding more statistics about our members such as most voted for userbar, signature etc etc..

If you feel these would be useful let me know otherwise i wont bother.. :)

thanks

adding features like that would be great! It would definitely improve the forums and interest in the website.

Also i was thinking that you could put a contact form on the contact page? Thats just a suggestion i think would make the website cooler. If you want i can get you one if you don't wanna write one.

ok i voted no, but there wasnt a maybe option :)

anyway, the reason i voted against is because i'm here totally as someone who has no concept on how to make these things. maybe a training area to talk people through the basics would be good? otherwise us complete beginners (or just people who standby and cannot or will not make tem will be excluded).

just my thoughts

those are excellent suggestions, so what you're saying you would like to have a section on the top menu bar called tutorials or something like that...

and when you click on it you have a bunch of tutorials and articles that explain exactly how to get started from the software that is used to how to make a simple signature or userbar ?

Thats quite abit of work as it would probably be me doing all the writing but If it helps new members integrate and get more involved with the site then its a good thing and worth investing in.... :)

Im gonna do a mock tutorial for you Velvet, which topic as a newbie would you like me to cover first ? If you can tell me some questions you have right now on how to do stuff i can put something together and we can take it from there ?

let me know

I wouldn't put too much effort into the statistics, the credit system of evaluating good members is nice, that should define the more involved people.

Blayde: Being an experienced userbar forum member did all the other forums have points etc etc... and how did it work for them ?

My experience is in building good sites so i can build anything only problem is what to build (as i dont have much experience running successful communities, hopefully that will change) which is why i value everyones feedback so much... It really is nice to have genuine feedback.

Thanks and keep it coming.

Well, most didn't, but some did recognise good work, and some gave titles to those who won the comps of the month/week. I think a point system would benefit more though, i haven't seen one afaik.
