With all of the SotW's I think there should be SotM's as well... With a grand prize of 100,000,000SP :lol: I would vote for a SotM, then you can have a SotY then a SoAT Sig of All Time. But hopefully there wont be an end of time...

Oh, for SotM is was think more of, you vote for your favourite sig from the SotW's during that month.

Well people seem to get the sigs done in a week pretty easily, I think a month of sig making would grow tidius, how ever, we could nominate sigs from requests, show off section and just entries from that month, I think that would be kool.

Well December has begun, so I guess we should start looking for people fo SotM pretty soon, I hope it gets approved. :)

i have thought about doing a sotm thing and even going bak from when the sotw 1st started. so including the 1st 4 sotw winners for sotm 1 then the next 4 sotw winners for sotm 2 etc

just havnt gotten around to it and now it looks like ive stolen your idea :P

i think if we did sotm it wud be from sotw comps...

otherwise we cud have a million sigs in sotm, and some ppl might think some shud be in but others shudnt etc

maybe you could have a pre-SotM? Where the best works of the month are collected and voted on, the top 2 go into the SotM that way we can have a 1st and 2nd for SotM instead of just 1st.

It makes a lot of sense to have the top 2 sigs of each week entered into a sig of the month comp...

Its much easier to manage and just makes plain sense... I see where you're coming from clown but it might just be overkill at the moment.... if we run a totally separate comp... ?

Well SotM stands for Sig of the Month. how come only SotW's can enter if some one else made a better sig that month? :?

The way I imagen it going is this:

SotW winners automatically enter.

During the whole month, a thread is open where people can post sigs that have been made that month that they think is worthy of SotM.

3 or 4 days before SotM voting opens, the pre-SotM thread is open for voting,

The day before SotM votes, Pre-SotM closes and the 2 winners advance into the SotM. In the case of a draw between sigs in the pre-SotM, voters who voted for non winners will be asked to vote for their favourite of the two conjoint winners.

SotM will be open for comments as fo a few days as the new Pre-SotM is opened for the new month.

SotM is opened for voting and the winner is announced after a few days of voting.

Then the cycle repeats.

i think for now we will just stick with the sotw winners for sotm, then after a while if clown feels up to it he can give this adding extra sigs in if he likes...

i think its a good idea, and im all up for it, but i think for now, we should stick to sotw winners going up for sotm.

As staff members are going to be awfully busy untill after christmas.

And this site is just getting so much more busier.

Lets see what trade says about it all now all ideas have been put forward.

I think for the sotw, it should start a fresh end of jan, from all the sigs made in jan, so when it comes to soty we will have the whole years worth of monthly votes lol

Like all ideas we are considering this one....

Its very easy to put ideas into action and then just watch them crash and burn because the staff dont have the time or if the idea wasnt originally thought through well enough... so if anyone is wondering why we dont just put something into place straight away thats why...

All ideas are welcome and highly encouraged on sigbar so do keep them coming but when we put something up on the site we want it to be managed properly otherwise something fun can quite easily turn into a disaster...

So we're looking at it.. one question to Clown though, The SoTm is for any signature of any theme right , unlike the weekly comp its not restricted by the organisers choice of theme ? Im just trying to understand your suggestion a little better ?
