Sponsorships!

I don't know if your doing this or not yet but on gamebattles alot of signature sites sponsor teams that are good and for their name say it was TapouT instead they would have sB TapouT (sb as in sigbar) or soemthign and we would have a your website in our profile and stuff. I'm not sure what we get in return since you guys don't makemoney that I nkow of but it would be good idea for more activitiness in my opinon.

ok, I personally am on gamebattles and think that forum has way too much flaming.

The sponsorship is cool, I doubt we would do that, as we have more than enough activeness in the forum

btw, if we did sponsor you, you would get free awesome sigs of course, lol, we deffo (at least I highly doubt) wouldn't give you money...

It depends on how much money tradedemon makes.
I have a CS team and a TF2 team but im more into TF2 then CS. We wouldnt really be a top team but a middle skill team with sponsorship?

If trade and/or some members (The older ones, noobie, jeff) were going to put money into a gaming team, you basically get alot publicity if we start getting on top, and if we do we could probably be in the top 20.

For instance, microsoft is sponsering a team called YSW. Microsoft gives them free hardware, and will even pay them if they have to go over seas or over state to play.

If my team was sponsered i doubt we'd get that far, but a new computer would be nice :)

Now, i havnt read the sigbar story, and i dont know how much revenue this site makes. If it makes about $1400 a day (Which could be highly likely) Then thats great sponsorship.

All you would have to do would be supply us with team banners, and your name is plastered in the corners. Maybe put about 10,000 initially or so for new computer parts/systems.

Seeing as we are all across country here, Im australian, subsequently my team is Australian too. Y

es, i am worried about the money. (Who will hold it, who will take it out, who will make sure it's managed properly?)My dad is an IT Genius, and he worked with the commonwealth bank for about 12 years. Basically here is a trust issue.

Whats in it for sigbar? More people come. Gamers come. Increase in revenue. The more people that are here, the more sigs that have to be completed. Which will in time mean many many more digital artists.
I don't know alot about sponsorship, and i doubt this will even come to be, but its good i got it out there atleast.

nice essay Hone lol, yer but if we start doin more sponsering we can get further...i am on a gaming website but i dont know if it does sponsers, consolegaming.eu and our clan are really good, im not the leader but hes a good freind of mine but anyway we have had 6 wins and 0 losses and we are rank 40 in europe and goin up lol! i dno i just felt like tellin u...anyway....its a good idea!

sponsorship can be good or bad, instead of sigbar representing sigbar, we would also have to trust that who we sponsored was representing sigbar the way we would want sigbar to be represented.

so if your say an above average clan at what ever game you might play and you post on a forum like gamebattles or mlg, saying, "sigbar is awesome! look at the sweet sig we have!" and then someone one else posts in that topic saying, "you guys cheat! you totally glitch kill."

people might read that and be like; well, I don't want anything to do with a team that cheats.

or say you retaliate to that person that called you a cheater and call him a noob or something.

That would be my biggest concern, because we wouldn't be able to monitor your clan's posts in every single forum, nor would we want to.

basically in the sigbar story, Trade talks about how getting to know your search engine and the terms you use, will generate people to the site.

as long as anyone uses a sig or userbar on a forum people will search for sigs and userbars, lol, I dare you to type in forum signatures in google and see which site is listed first :P

or for that matter free signatures :)

The idea is sound but this would have to be on a case by case basis and we would certainly not sponsor with new PCs and stuff lol. We're no microsoft.

As Loki said being a sponsor means having a relationship and managing that relationship and making sure people are representing us accurately is a big thing.

So for now Im going to say that if you would like sponsorship, please pm me.. But I wouldnt get hopeful as Im highly unlikely to sponsor a team which doesn't carry the right values and/or offer benefits to us as well.

Exactly what bob said, i'm in his clan it is a great idea of getting more traffic. You've already got me and a few others join off 1 clan who you dont even pay to have your name on them, just offer what you do best, offer them graphics. It's not gnna cost anything so just sponsor a few well known clans and the buisiness will flood in.
