ok, heres a suggestion i would like to put forward to expand the site and make it more fun! (not like it already is, hehe)

ive noticed that in other gfx forums, they have like teams etc, which battle.
alright, so what happens is you have 3 forums really, one for team creation, one for team recruiting and one for team (private) dicussion where the team can chat about there sigs etc. these teams will be created by members and can be called anything. when more teams are created, you can have little battles between the teams, and the victors are decided by the public.

the private forums will have to be controlled by forum permission masks.

also, teams will be filled by applications like this:
name:
age:
gfx experience (how long etc):
why you want to join:
latest 5 tags:
large arts (optional):

yeah, and to start a team preferably two leaders who have had some reasonable gfx experience

i thought this was a great idea and was very popular in other forums
i also believe the inflow of members daily is easily suffice to support these teams

We have definitely taken this idea on board, we just need time to think about how we're going to set it up and stuff.... and what the problems or issues with running it might be.

Would the teams be of people with the same type of style or people with different styles to cover bigger areas?

maybe team leaders could hold "recruitment rallies"......... and maybe then the leader could select the recruits whose work they like............?

Oh dude, that sounds awesome as. I reckon it would be SOO awesome if the different teams had their on section of forums. Have like 3 main teams with a main leader and then like 3 sub-benefitionaries that can control hiring and moderating and stuff like that, then you would have the designers and initiates.

People then post in the recruitment section and the leaders battle it out to get the artist by offering points of some thing like that, put the artists up for auction like a football draft, teams can swap and choose artists as they wish and the team that shows the most initiative and best work could win some type of prize at the end of the month.

Totally love it, put it in motion, all for proposition teams! Gets CloWns vote!!

each team has there own little thread in the team recruitment section
then, when your accepted, an admin will give you the permission mask to view that forum

ok, the forum for all teams will be like
Team Creation
Team Recruiting

each team will have a council who will determine who gets in (votes)
and each team should start with a leader

i have a great idea for mine, it'll go something like:
rise designs
or
horizon gfx

then you could all go on my team!!!
and be part of the council!! lolz~

the problem is to keep the teams busy , so an admin has to setup battles
The teams on my forum can deside to make the forum part invisible so they can discuss in private .
You also need active team captains .

example :

An admin provides a stock and the teams have to make collab
Voting goes to the battle section and you will find a winner :)
Ad small prizes like 20 points for each team member . And you will have another addicting thing , Also good for learning cause you can view the psd file from team members .

I also suggest to make a forum part where people can post psd files or gimp files just for learning purposes . works great on my site and you really learn alot from them

this is a long shot but can we invite teams from other forums and have a battle......? like we invite hub's forum members to battle here or one of our tem goes to hubs forum to do battle there..?

Not been dropped hun.....a lot of changes are to be made to the site sometime in the new year, so at the mo, theres a lot of ideas and things flying about in the air, all being considered and talked about and planned :) This being one of them :)

I think a team should have a limited supply of designers. Say you have 5 intermediates and 2 pros, one being the leader, second being co leader or mod. then each team should recruit rookies, the rookies have their own battles and all that kinda stuff and the team who has the rookie who learns the most can win an award!

Most advanced rookie, rookie of the year, intermediate of the year, and a whole bunch of awards that could be displayed by the team, which leads me to my next suggestion.

Perhaps the teams could have their own page? still have the general forum but then split off to the other teams areas. Where the leader could choose to display his/her designers work or their achievements and stuff.

trading and buying? I was thinking that it might be cool to introduce an economy here, so make the trade of a designer cost a curtain amount of points, make teams be able to sell their designers to other teams and what not. Have the rookies in the market priced on their promise? how well they made their first sig could effect how much they cost to recruit.

which in all would lead to the team earning points and buying things from the admins, such as their own page, own section of forum and so on. You could think of thousands of things to put up for sale. It would be a bit of work, but I'm sure the end result would be well worth it.

I have ideas like this all the time... A lot of the stuff I think about is never spoken so feel lucky I decided to tell you this. 8) lol
