Anyone able to help?

Apparently I had a virus yesterday and we seem to have gotten rid of it, but now.... My computer is showing off symptoms.

Symptoms-
1. Blue Screen of DEATH.
2. Odd Wallpaper on start up. (Picture below.)
3. Cannot open links from google and such properly. Seems to open pop-ups instead of the link I want.
4. Cannot change background to computer from the properties menu. (Tab no longer exists).

I have also ended the process tree of 'lphc52uj0e5e7.exe'.

do as i say first install avast! antivirus

then install it n restart da computer it will scan ur computer
before it comes into ur control
n delete all files which he is detecting as a virus
n if its ur important file dont delete it first see da file name b4 deleting

Yikes. Looks like you've been bitten by the spyware bug.

Try using Spybot Search & Destroy. This might also be adware, in which you will need Ad-Aware.

Run those two programs and then another run of your antivirus.

What AV program are you using?

you could try a system restore first, if that doesn't do the trick I would deffo get avg or something you are sure works to try and take care of whatever it is that did this.

otherwise you might have to back everything up that you want and do a complete restore to the computer
