Well mine is accurate as advertised by my cable company(15mb) plus some (up to 20mb) BUT, and that's a very big BUT, that is from a server right here in my hometown of Las Vegas. Go to a server out of state, which most of us do anyways(online games, web sites, etc.), then it goes to crap. So, BEWARE people!!!! If they advertise a certain speed and let's say you live on the west coast, ask them if that speed will still be true if you visit an east coast server. My guess would be that they'll either avoid the answer or will honestly not know what it'll be if you go to a cross country server, let alone halfway around the world.
Even though pretty much the invention or should I say idea of the internet was from a British Gentleman, it was used pretty much exclusivley by the U.S. Military till they released it to the general public (at first in, over the telephone BBS site [god I feel old cause I remember those days, how barbaric it was]) We still lag way behind broadband speeds compared to some european and alot of asian countries, as it pertains to the average user. Our average users should have the highest in the world and you can, as long as you have the money to pay for it(AHHHHHH....Capitalism at it's finest).
OK. Thanks for letting me vent. :x
