Well...I couldnt wait much longer.
We put our Christmas Decorations up today!! lol
We normally do it on the 1st December as we have to take them down early, my sons birthday is on the 28th December, so our decs come down 2 days after christmas and up come the birthday decs.
But like i said, i couldnt help myself, ive been itching to put them up for days now.
Out comes the tree.....The kids get all excited....straightening branches out from being squashed in the box for the last year.....within no time, the tree is done, the lights are switched on. Looks beautiful.
The kids are now bored from doing the tree, so they leave the rest to me and bf lol
Nathan sits on the sofa huffing because Lucy has "girly cartoons on"
Connors trying to get a word in edgeways, while im talking to bf....hes bugging me for him to be allowed on the xbox 360.
So up the stairs he goes to play halo3.
I start with the santa stockings on the doors...cant have them on the fireplace this year as i have a coal fire now, and knowing my luck, ill set something on bloody fire lol
Next its the tinsel around my mirror above my fire place, followed by the tinsel around the tv.
I then remember that i threw the old garlands last year as i promised the kids they could go out and choose new ones this year..oh dear, i forgot....id better take them to get new ones this weekend.
Noobie now opens the box of lights....hmmmm.....i know i have about 4 sets, but this just looks like 1 big bundle of lights.....time to untangle them all....
48 hours later so it seems...(probably 48 minutes lol).....me and bf are ready to put the lights up...all goes well with the first set, same with the second....
third is a different story altogether...falling down off the window every 2 seconds....for gawd sake, theyre being tacked up, not bloody cellotaped.
At last, its all done, we turn off the living room light and switch on all the christmas lights....and would ya flippin believe it...yeah you guessed it, the first set of lights i put up dont bloody work, and i checked them before i put them up.....down come the lights and up goes the spare pair lol.
Yay all finished....Maybe i should have waited the extra couple of days after all to put them up, as ive just realised, another few days extra now of constantly rearranging the decs when the kids mess them up or when the tinsel and lights keep falling down.
I swear im glutten for punishment sometimes lol....anyways guys and gals....i know its early but im in the christmas spirit, but Merry christmas to everyone :D x x x
