planetrenders.com is good for pics, that are ready to make things with, you have to sign up for full size though :D but don't worry its free!

if u have to oversize the image, try using sharpen tool........... but if u over use it, it'll worsen the problem......... sometimes,(emphasis on the word "sometimes" ) playing around with brightness and contrast will also help..............

yeah, planetrenders.net is a great place to get renders etc.
also, drop into the tuts section, it'll give you some good stuff like tips on making your sig better!

Haha, dude don't put yourself down. It's your first ever sig, you can't expect em to be the best things ever created, pay a visit to the tut's area of the forums, there is a lot of helpful stuff there.

Everyone is new at some point, learn from mistakes you make, for egsample, now you must know that making a pic bigger probably doesn't benifit the pic =P just have a play around in PS or GIMP, which ever one you have, try and get to learn your effects and tools, coz knowledge is powah!!

Is the lightning an effect? I think that looks really good!

Oo i can see it now...thats not bad at all...it always helps to have a picture that is bigger than you need, as making it smaller doesnt alter the pic quality...but thats great for a first sig, nice one.
