Using an avatar

I have an avatar that was made, but i can't just copy and paste the code. I can only use pics i have saved. I tried saving the avatar but when i put it it doesn't show....btw it's animated

What kind of file is it? remember not to include [img]/[url] tags when you paste it into the avatar control panel.
