Not sure what I'm doing wrong on the first portion. Maybe there an implied step that (being a novice) I'm missing, but I followed the instructions down to the letter. Yet everytime I go back to the masked layer with my alpha selection, and then fill with the FG color white, nothing seems t happen - at all. =( Any suggestions?


EDIT: Figured it out. For anyone else as slow as I am, click on the actual Mask of that gray layer... not just the layer itself.
