This question can't leave my mind.
Why are you, guys, making for people free sigs, userbars, and other stuff?
Are you some kind of organization of good-will people, or you somehow get money for already made sigs by posting them elsewhere.
It can't be true that you make them just because wanna help people. In todays world only few people left like that.
So reveal the truth please :)

LOL it's a sad state of affairs when a group of people who give their free time to create something that someone else has asked for, get questioned as to why they are doing it... and if I read rightly get accused of not even making the things they make ( see underlined part of quote).
Why can it not just be we have some free time on our hands and someone has asked for something so we do it, what is so hard to understand about that ?
The truth of the matter is this, obviously you wouldn't do what others are doing here, otherwise it wouldn't be so much of a mystery to you, so remember this not everyone is the same, and don't work by the same standards, just because you wouldn't do something for free or for no personal gain , it doesn't mean that others wouldn't 8)

Nicely said mel...
When i first joined this site, i wanted to learn how to make sigs etc, so i downloaded gimp and got stuck in, and started doing peoples requests, the requests are there for anyone to fulfill, not just certain people.
Doing the requests helped me learn how to make them, and i enjoy doing them in my spare time, the more i do, the better i become.
I wouldnt dream of selling them in any way shape or form.....people ask for them, i like making them, and at the same time i get to know and chat to some lovely people. So its a win win situation.
I suppose you could call it a hobby in a way, i wouldnt charge someone for my hobby :?
Just accept the fact that there are lovely people on here, that enjoy making sigs and being part of a close community.:D:D

and the certain respect you get :) .
Its the community itself, we are a bunch of idiots with one thing in common
THOSE GDAMN GRAPHICS :)
Try Ps or Gimp its like gaming and its addicting , if I would keep the stuff I make myself , it would go to the trash. So why not make other people happy.

I'd assume it's because they're nice people, and for the fact that they find it fun. I'd be doing it too if I had photoshop.

I think the girl was complimenting you (Mind you I am high at the moment). She is giving honor to your craft when she says there's no way someone would do something for free. She's saying she can't believe that you just give it away - like your art is worth money. It's a compliment posed recklessly.
