X-Box 360

Is a X-Box 360 worth getting, because i just had my B'Day and i got **** loads of money/presents and i was wondering if i should buy 1 or not. I have played 2 games so far at my mates house (call of duty 3, DOA 4) and we played online. If i do get it what games should i get??

there are good and bad things about it. make sure you get an elite because that is the only one they test the parts for which is why 5 out of 10 regular 360's crap out on people. If you don't want to pay to play online then you should go with the ps3. (even the cheapest one is still badass) Otherwise the games are basically the same except for some console exclusives, but those usually come out for the other systems you just have to wait a year or so and they usually spice some things up in the repackage. I know I wouldn't mind getting one or the other but money is tight right now for me. I think i'll get ps3 eventually cause I already pay for internet I don't to pay for x-box live as well. that's my take

Dude the Xbox 360 blows the PS3 out of the water. I mean the PS3 has a blue ray dvd player. big whoop! Xbox 360 now have a new chip put in them so they don't have the red ring of death as much (hardware failure). I would get an elite though. You get a 120 gig HDD with it instead of a 20 gig. Well worth it my HDD is already full but I only have the 20. You can also use the Xbox 360 to play any movies you may have on the computer to your TV. Like if you use a bit torrent client and DL movies you can keep them on your computer and just patch it through your Xbox 360 and watch them on your TV. The xbox 360 also has over 190 games for it. The other consoles such as the Wii has (105) and the PS3 doesn't have even that many I don't think. So yes get an Xbox 360. They are the leading console in the Next Gen Console Wars. When you do hit me up and we can play matchmaking on Halo 3 or somethin. Also the Xbox live is only 50 bucks a year. A small price for the experience you can have.

omgmc the 360 does not blow the the ps3 out of the water...im guessin u never used or played the ps3 out of a store. if u played 1 for a week u would see tht the ps3 has more and better features than a xbox does and u dnt have to buy all tht crap to get online. if u dnt read up on the ps3 news u would hear tht playstation home is coming out this october for the ps3 dnt wanna give any more details because im on my ps3 right now typing this message and i dnt have my usb keyboard right now. the ps3 game out rough but is smoothing out all the bumps wth updates. by the way i just updated it i dnt think a xbox can update. as far as i kno 360 only good games are halo and graw. so... heres my advice get a ps3 and thank me when a year later. o yea u dnt have 2 pay2 play online. comon 100 bucks! lol thts crazy anyways i had a 360 and... it broke within a year but..tht happens to almost every 360 owner it happened2 my couzin and friend2! i got my ps2 right when it came out and the thing is still goin strong! buy ps3!. 8)

o and all tht stuff u said about watchin movie from pc to 360 2 tv...the ps3 can do tht and a heck of alol more...remote play which i love because u can use ur psp to remote play from the ps3 anywere in the world were theres wifi. i got a 60 gig so u kno i got alot of music and movies on it and...i can message my pals on psn without bein home! when omgmc said blueray big whoop it made me laugh because hd-dvd in ur 360 aint nothin 2 be happy about lol. theres a hell of alot of stuFf 360 could never do wht the ps3 can. the elite aint even worth gettin if u already have a 360 just a ripp off.

It is 50 bucks a year not a 100 and the online multiplayer fan base is way larger than the PS3. The PS3 is still being sold out by it's younger brother the PS2. The price tag is priced way over. As far as blue ray goes, how many movies do they have for blue ray exactly? And I don't have the HD DVD player because I think it is stupid also. I watch all my movies on VCD and don't have that expensive price tag. There are only a few games that the PS3 has that are very good. Final Fantasy and Metal Gear that I can think of right now. I have a PS2 also and it has killed over already. Still play it occasionally though when it works. Anyways just some more 411.

Bearing in mind that I have had the 360 since the day it was released i have to say its an amazing console. Not only is it much cheaper than the PS3 but the range of games available to it is really really leaps and bounds ahead of the PS3.

Now dont get me wrong im a gamer at heart so once a few desirable games come out on the PS3 I will be getting that too... but if i had to choose a console it would have to be the 360 hands down.

Most games are now being released on both consoles so its not like you will miss many games by choosing one or the other. I mean yes there will be some uniques e.g. Halo 3 is a Xbox exclusive , Tekken 6 will be a PS3 exclusive ... but still most games are available on both so in terms of games available considering most games will be available on both consoles and right now there arent that many top class games available on the PS3 , the 360 is a winner hands down on the game availability aspect.

Lastly the online network available to 360 users is much more mature and better developed than the ps3s... so again will have to side on the 360...

If you got the money i suggest you get the 360 now, and a PS3 maybe in a years time when better games come out... :)

I have no idea why it would do that Broncos. I now the ps2 can do the same thing if you watch to many dvd's then it would just play dvd's or vice versa. Kind of weird. Never understood why either one would do that.

Yes you can play halo 1 and 2 on then 360 they made the halo games compatible with the 360. And i cant wait untill halo 3 comes out because i just got x-box live and i will be playing halo 3 online. :D :) :D

for halo3 i wish i had a 360 i think in my perspective tht halo3 is gonna be the best shooting game ever! but medal of honor says there gonna beat halo im not sure about tht though. unreal tournament III, everyone sayin tht tht will be a halo3 killa but unreal tournament III looks like the same kind of game plot wth aliens but wht do i kno ive just seen the trailors never played it but im gettin it!

Medal of honor doesn't have a chance to be a halo killer. Now Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare very well could be. Only like 7 more days till Halo 3 comes out. I can't wait.

But back to the subject, i wouldnt have a clue what id prefer, the kids have a 360 and love it, but they dont play online with it...theyd like a ps3 but theyre way to expensive for me at the mo, so theyll just have to wait till the price has dropped somewhat lol....so all this "who ahhh" about halo...is it a game that a 10 year old and a 7 year old could play or are they a little young...as by the sounds of it, its a brilliant game, but id like to make sure before i buy it that its ok for them lol...also, is it an online only game, cause im not paying a subscription as well as the internet for them lol, im too stingey lol

halo isn't online only. Its a first person shooter. so if you don't mind the little ones saying "I killed you!" then yea they could play it. :D there isn't really any blood except for green looking alien blood, i think.

well heres the thing noobie wth xbox360 u have to pay to play online theres a silver and a gold pass i think the silver one only lets you play online on the weekends and u pay like 100 bucks for the gold pass to play online or its 50 bucks but thts american dollars not sure wht it is in ur part of the area. ps3 dosen't have any fee to play online :wink:

With the gold pass you pay about $100 and that gives you 12 months of game time on x-box live, Im not sure about the silver sorry.

Ok i have had my xbox 360 for a long time i take an active role in clans cod 3 wasent that great in online but it was a good single player game. never played doa 4. The only thing i have to hate the 360 4 in the ring of death. But they extended the warrenty now to 3 years from the time you get the 3 red lights so its all good
