It's browser-based. No graphics except for images. And it's a strategy gaem and an interesting ne. That is because it goes on whether you are playing at that moment or not.
The point is to raise an army and attack other players or defend from other players. The winner of the game is the person with the most points at the end of each age. An age is usually 10-12 weeks. The reason for ages is so that new players do not fall behind to much. When a new age starts, they will be on equal footing.
The most important thing to know about is the update. The game updates every 30 minutes, giving you gold and 1 turn. A turn is used to attack opponents. You can use up to 8 turns at once to attack an opponent.
You gain points by buying techs. Techs can increase your military might, the amount of food and gold you get each update, how many points you get from killing another person's unit and other things.
You start off with 20 units. That can be devided among soldiers and workers. Workers produce food and gold, soldiers are your basic attack/defence unit. Each day you are given 1 additional unit when you log in. By buying techs you can increase the number of units you get each day. (I get 10 right now).
Players join guilds in order to help each other and for new players to learn the game.
This is a basic explanation. Well, not really basic. But this game is unique, I have never seen a game like it. It's Free and a lot of fun.
Any of you who decide to try it can apply to my guild Centurion_Guard and we'll help you learn the game. There is also a required 10 minute tutorial that is quite helpful.
