If you’re after free favicons then the tool at freefavicons.net will create them for you in an instant. Simply upload your image and it will shrink and generate your image into a fully functional favicon graphic complete with instructions on how to add it to your site. Although the quality isn’t as good as making a custom favicon of in photoshop it’s still a great application if you’re in a hurry.

Just what I was looking for, thanks for sharing, its a good free site but you need to be careful about what size image you put in otherwise the quality doesn’t come out tooo good
